1) Monday, May 21st is the ACA Walk-a-thon for Jennifer Smith. Please turn in your pledges to the school by Monday morning. Also, Martinez Tacos will be selling food during the lunch hour. The menu consists of burrito($4), Soft Taco ($2) and Quesadilla(cheese or meat) $2. Sent money in with your child to purchase this great food. All monies from the Martinez Taco sale will be donated to the Jennifer Smith Walk-a-thon.

2) Monday, May 21st is the Band "Petting Zoo". Anyone interested in joining band is welcome to come out and try the instruments. It is May 21st from 3:30-6pm in the Mac Band Room.

3) New Medical Requirements for children: "ISBE and IDPH recently determined that for the 2012-2013 students entering 6th and 9th grade will be required to provide proof of Tdap (immunization) along with the school physicals.

4) For the 2012-2013 school year Child Health Exams are required for
> Early Childhood/Preschool
> Upon entry into Kindergarten
> Upon entry into 6th grade
> Upon entry into 9th grade
> Transfer students(outof state/country) within one year of entering an Illinois school for the first time.

Full physicals count for the sports physical, Sports physicals DO NOT count for 6th grade physicals.

Also required are: Eye Exam by a Opthomologist or Optomotrist for Kindergarten, Dental exam for Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th.

There will be copies of the updated State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examinations in the school offices if you would like an updated form to have your physician fill out. There is a required Parent Section on this form that must be filled out and signed by the parent.

5) Don't forget to send in Juice pouches, BoxTops, Campbells labels, batteries and used ink cartridges! We will also collect these items at Market Day pick up over the summer!
